This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how RevenueCat, Inc. (“we”, “us”, and “our”) collects, uses, maintains, and discloses the information, which is linked or can be reasonably linkable to an identified or an identifiable natural person or household (“Personal Data”), we obtain through our website located at https://www.revenuecat.com/ (the “Site”), our products and services, and for other RevenueCat activities at which you may provide your Personal Data, such as sponsored events or trade shows (our “Services”). This Privacy Policy applies where we are acting as a “Data Controller”, as defined under applicable data protection laws.

Please read this Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your Personal Data. By accessing and/or using our Site or Services, you acknowledge you have read and understood this Policy and that you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth, including with respect to the collection and processing of your Personal Data.
External Links: The Site may contain links to various websites that we do not control. When you click on one of these links, you will no longer be transacting business through the Site. Third-party websites maintain their own privacy policies, and we do not exercise any control over any of the third-party websites that may be linked to the Site. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites, and we are not liable for their misuse of Personal Data about you.
Personal Data We Collect
Depending upon how you interact with us, we may collect different Personal Data from and about you. Below we describe the categories of Personal Data we collect and our legal bases for processing your Personal Data.
- Identifiers and Contact Information: This includes your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, personal description and photograph, login and password details, as well as information about you that you give us by filling in forms on our site or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise, and information you provide when you register to use our Site, subscribe to our Services, search for a product, in discussion boards or other social media functions on or via our Site, enter a competition, promotion or survey, submit a query, providing information at trade shows or sponsored events and when you report a problem with our Site.
- Legal Bases: Consent, Performance of a Contract, Compliance with Legal Obligations, Legitimate Interests.
- Financial Information: This includes your financial and credit card information. This may also include, subject to the agreements we enter into with you, your banking or other financial account information that you have provided us access to, including to deposit and redirect funds into such accounts.

- Employment / Professional History: This includes employment details if you send us a CV, resume or other details of your employment history in connection with an advertised job vacancy or a general inquiry regarding employment opportunities with us. We will also collect details regarding any visa sponsorship needs, links to your portfolio and/or LinkedIn.

- Internet and Other Electronic Activity Information, Device Information: This includes technical information, such as the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, operating system and platform, as well as information about your visit to our Site, which may include the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL), clickstream to, through and from our Site (including date and time), page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), methods used to browse away from the page, and any phone number used to call our customer service number or social media handle used to connect with our customer service team. This also includes details regarding your use of our artificial intelligence (“AI”) tools and features such as your inputs or prompts, questions you ask and documentation you upload, information and responses generated by the AI tools and features.

- “End User” Information: If you are using our products or services as a developer, the following information regarding your end users may be received and processed by us:
- “End User Technical Information”: This refers to technical information related to an end user’s mobile device or computer, such as device type, operating system.
- “End User Transaction Information”: This refers to transaction information related to an end user’s activities with respect to your app or other digital product, and may include: Last seen time that the end user used your app or digital product; Apple receipt file; and Google purchase token.
- “Optional End User Information”: This refers to information that we may receive if you select or enable this option in our products, which may include: User ID of the end user in your app or digital product; and Additional attribution or metadata associated with an end user.

Legitimate Interests/Consent: To the extent we rely on our legitimate interests as a legal basis for processing of your Personal Data, we have considered the balance between our own interests (among other things, the lawful and efficient operation of our Site, and quality and enhancement of our products and relationships with you) and your interests and we believe that (a) you would reasonably expect us to carry out the kind of processing referenced above and (b) such processing will not cause you any harm and/or will not seriously impact your rights and freedoms with regard to data privacy.
Depending on where you reside, consent may be the only lawful basis for our processing of your Personal Data. Where our legal basis to process your Personal Data is based upon your consent, you have the right to withdraw consent for such processing at any time by contacting us at compliance@revenuecat.com.
How We Collect Personal Data
We collect most Personal Data directly from you when you use or interact with our Site, or in the course of doing business with you, including:
- When you subscribe or register for our Services or
- Contact us or request additional information.
We may receive Personal Data from other sources, including our affiliates and partners that we work with including those who provide us with leads and other marketing or advertising services.
Along with our advertising partners, we may also collect Personal Data from and about you through the use of cookies, web beacons, unique identifiers, pixels and other online tracking technologies. How and Why We Use Your Personal Data
We use your Personal Data to be able to provide our Services to you, including, but not limited to, offering products for sale, fulfilling your orders, processing payments, and keeping you up to date on new products, Services, and offers. Further, we use your Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To administer our Site and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes.
- To keep our Site safe and secure.
- For measuring or understanding the effectiveness of advertising we serve to you and others, and to deliver relevant advertising to you.
- To improve our Site to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.
- To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Site and Services, when you choose to do so.
- To deliver and improve our products and Services and your overall user experience.
- Otherwise, with your consent, where required, including for marketing analysis and providing you with promotional update communications by email about our products and Services. You can object to further marketing at any time by checking and updating your contact details within your account, or selecting the “unsubscribe” link at the end of all our marketing and promotional update communications to you, or by submitting your email address at compliance@revenuecat.com.
End User Information: We will only use “End User Information” to provide our Services and products to you, in accordance with the agreement agreed to and signed by us. We are not the Data Controllers of this data and act as Data Processors. We have no direct relationship with the individuals or end users whose Personal Data we process. The processing of Personal Data shared with us by our customers is governed by our Terms of Use, Data Processing Addendum or any other agreement agreed to and signed by us with our customers. These agreements cover data transfers to third parties that may occur as part of RevenueCat’s provision of its Services to the customer. We will process such Personal Data on behalf of the customer as prescribed in the respective agreements between RevenueCat and the customer. The customer’s privacy policy or other agreement between the customer and the end user will apply to such processing, and not this Policy.
If we process your Personal Data on behalf of one of our customers and you wish to discontinue such processing, or if you seek to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate Personal Data, please contact the RevenueCat customer (the Data Controller of your Personal Data) directly. The RevenueCat customer should then provide instructions to us, if necessary. If requested to correct, amend, or delete Personal Data by our customers, we will do so within a reasonable timeframe and we will retain Personal Data pursuant to our retention policy and only as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
How We Share Your Personal Data
We share your Personal Data as described below:
- Members of our Group: This includes our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, who support our processing of Personal Data under this Policy. If any of these parties are using your information for direct marketing purposes, we will only transfer the information to them for that purpose with your prior consent.
- Selected third parties which may include:
- Service Providers: This includes organizations who process your Personal Data on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions and applicable law; organizations supporting the Services we offer through the Site, in particular organizations providing website and data hosting services, providing fulfillment services, distributing any communications we send, supporting or updating marketing lists, and facilitating feedback on our Services. These organizations (which may include third party suppliers, agents, sub-contractors and/or other companies in the RevenueCat group of companies) will only use your information to the extent necessary to perform their support functions.
- Analytics and Search Engine Providers: This includes companies that assist us in the improvement and optimization of our Site.
- Payment Processing Providers: This includes companies such as Stripe, who provide secure payment processing services. (Your payment card details are not shared with us by the provider.)
- AI Vendors: This includes vendors and service providers that support and enhance our AI tools and features.
- We will also disclose your Personal Data to third parties:
- In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we will disclose your Personal Data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets, subject to the terms of this Policy.
- If RevenueCat or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case Personal Data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.
- If we are under a duty to disclose or share your Personal Data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of service, terms of use, and other agreements with you; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RevenueCat, our customers, or others.
Cross-Border Data Transfers
We may use certain service providers or other third parties located in a jurisdiction other than the one where you are located. If we do transfer your Personal Data to another jurisdiction, we will do so following due diligence and provided that the data recipient is subject to contractual agreements imposing obligations on it to ensure appropriate technical and organizational measures are implemented and maintained at all times to prevent the unauthorized and unlawful processing of Personal Data, and the accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, Personal Data, consistent with our obligations under applicable data protection laws.
The Personal Data that we collect from you will be stored securely on Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) in the USA.
Minors
We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from or about children under the age of 18 through our Site. If you are under 18, please do not give us any Personal Data. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s internet usage and to help enforce this Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide us Personal Data. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 18 has provided Personal Data to us, please contact us, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.
Security of Personal Data
Security is one of our biggest priorities at RevenueCat. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access.
- All application data is secured in transit using TLS.
- Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL.
- RevenueCat audits changes to the application throughout the development lifecycle: architecture reviews are performed as well as stringent automated and manual code review processes.
- RevenueCat monitors application servers, infrastructure, and the RevenueCat network environment to detect potential abuse.
- RevenueCat uses Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) to persistently store Customer data and does not host Customer data on its premises. AWS is a leading cloud provider, and holds industry best security certifications, such as SOC2 and ISO 27001. Customer data sent to RevenueCat from around the world is sent to AWS data centers located in the United States.
Retention of Personal Data
We retain Personal Data during any period in which you have expressed an interest in our products and services, for as long as you have an account with us in order to meet our contractual obligations to you, and for six years after that to identify any issues and resolve any legal proceedings. We may also retain aggregate information beyond this time for research purposes and to help us develop and improve our services. You cannot be identified from aggregate information retained or used for these purposes.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending upon where you are located, certain choices and rights may be available to you under applicable data protection laws, including the following:
- Right to Be Informed. You may have the right to know or be notified about the collection of your Personal Data.
- Right to Access. You may have the right to be provided with a copy of your Personal Data.
- Right to Data Portability. You may have the right to receive the Personal Data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and/or to ask that we transmit your Personal Data to a third party, where applicable.
- Right to Delete/Be Forgotten. You may have the right to request that we delete the Personal Data we have collected about you, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Right to Correct. You may have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate Personal Data we have collected about you.
- Right to Restrict Processing. You may have the right to require us to restrict processing of your Personal Data.
- Right to Object. You may have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data for direct marketing/profiling or where we are processing your Personal Data for our legitimate interests.
- Right to Withdraw Consent. Where you have provided us with consent for the processing of your Personal Data, you may have the right to withdraw such consent.
- Right to Not be Subject to Automated Individual Decision-Making. You may have the right to not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
- Right to Contact Supervisory Authority. You may have the right to contact the relevant supervisory authority and to lodge a complaint.
- Rights to Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising, Sale of Personal Data and/or Profiling: You may have the right to opt-out of our processing of your Personal Data for the purposes of (i) targeted advertising, (ii) the sale of Personal Data, or (iii) profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning the consumer.
- Right to Appeal: You may have the right to appeal any of our responses with respect to your Personal Data privacy rights requests. You may do so by contacting us at compliance@revenuecat.com.
- Right to No Discrimination: You will not receive any discriminatory treatment by us for the exercise of your privacy rights as outlined in this Privacy Policy.

- “Do Not Track” Browser Settings: You are entitled to know how we respond to “Do Not Track” browser settings. Like many other websites, we do not currently alter our practices when we receive Do Not Track signals as there is no consensus among industry participants as to what “Do Not Track” means in this context.
